Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteadys Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. Given the Arkham series, which began with 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum, is incredibly successful and enduringly popular, it's likely these prices are here to stay. In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn. Whether the complaints have any effect, as the recent backlash against paid mods on Steam did remains to be seen.

Reddit is already awash with threads such as this lambasting the move and accusing publisher Warner Bros of price gouging. Needless to say, the high price of the DLC bundle - even though it represents a half-year of new content - has not gone down well with players. This season pass for Batman: Arkham Knight delivers new content every month for 6 months, featuring new story missions, more supervillains. Oh, and neither of those come with the season pass. Or GAME's Red Hood edition which has playable missions with the former Robin. Different retailers are offering unique content, such as Amazon's £90 edition with a Batman statue, some comics, and exclusive character skins. Of course, then you have to navigate pre-order bonuses. The mathematically inclined among you will realise that, compared to buying game and pass separately, the Premium Edition saves you a whole five pounds on the former and a whole "nothing whatsoever" on the latter. This version packs in the main game and the season pass for the princely sum of £87.98 on consoles and £67.98 on PC. If you want to save yourself a small chunk of change, there is of course the Premium Edition of Arkham Knight.
